    Giovanna is dedicated to the practice of law in Lorain County. Giovanna currently serves as a part-time magistrate in the Elyria Municipal Court. She is a practicing attorney in her own firm in Avon where she has handled criminal and civil litigation for over ten years. Giovanna has argued multiple cases to the Ohio Supreme Court.

What non-judicial legal experience qualifies you to be a judge?

Having practiced in every court in Lorain County, I offer a well rounded experience coming to the bench. I have the legal knowledge to address the complex issued faced in the common pleas court. I am also the attorney for the Lorain County Drug Treatment Court and have presided as a magistrate over the Elyria Municipal Drug Treatment Court. These important specialized dockets help reduce recidvism.

Why are you running for this particular court seat?

I want to make a difference in my community - both legal community and community at large. We have a need to reduce the cycle of repeat offenders to make our community safer. I also have the experience having been a judicial officer in a high volume docket to run an efficient docket. The community deserves a judge that can efficiently address their cases.
