I am currently a criminal trial attorney. I handle felony level criminal cases in the court in which I seek to practice.
I previously worked for Judge Brian J. Corrigan as his Judicial Staff Attoney. I managed his civil docket for him including conducting pretrials, researching and writing opinions.
I started my career as a Registered Nurse at the Cleveland Clinic in Neurology. I worked my way through law school by working night and weekend shifts as a Registered Nurse.
My experience is both diverse in breadth but also comprehensive of what a Common Pleas Judge would see in the general division. I have handled both the criminal and civil cases that would come before a judge.

Question 1
List your judicial experience (courts and years)
Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas, General Division
Cuyahoga County Court of Appeals, Eighth District
Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas, Juvenile Court
Question 2
What non-judicial legal experience qualifies you to be a judge?
My non-judicial experience as a registered nurse gives me a different perspective if I am elected. I worked in Neurology and have clinical training in working with patients with mental health issues. This coupled with my felony criminal experience would give me advantage on handling difficult cases.
I am particularly interested in taking over one of the Court's mental health dockets as I have handles hundreds of these cases. My training as both a nurse and lawyer would give me an understanding of the complexities of these cases.
Question 3
Why are you running for this particular court seat?
I knew the late Judge Michael J. Russo who previously held the seat. I was honored when I spoke with his wife and she asked me to consider running in this seat. The seat means a lot to me both personally and professionally as I have a connection to Judge Russo and I believe I can help my continue by serving as a Judge in Common Pleas General Division.
I have the diverse experience that is needed to succeed in Common Pleas General Divison as I have handled both civil and criminal cases with the general division. I believe my trial experience further gives me an advantage as I have the necessary experience needed to handle these complex cases.
