Question 1
List your judicial experience (courts and years)
Acting Judge in Marion County Municipal Court 2024.
Question 2
What non-judicial legal experience qualifies you to be a judge?
I have over 27 years practicing law in Marion County. I've handled nearly every kind of legal
case imaginable, including helping families and local residents solve legal problems
involving custody, contracts, personal injuries, and wills. I also have extensive
experience handling complex civil and criminal cases.
My scope of practice expands far beyond Marion County. I am admitted to practice
before the United States District Courts for both the Southern and Northern Districts of
Ohio. My expertise is further recognized by the Ohio State Bar Association's certification
to handle the most difficult and legally challenging cases a lawyer can handle -- death
penalty cases.
I’ve also served as an Acting Judge in the Marion County Municipal Court, which gives me
insights to the work of a judge that lawyers who haven’t served on the bench don't have.
Question 3
Why are you running for this particular court seat?
I have the legal and court experience to give Marion County residents the Common
Pleas Court judge they deserve. No other candidate can match my experience.
Here are just a few of my credentials:
I was born and raised in Marion County and graduated from Ridgedale High School,
Ohio State, and Capital Law School, where I earned a law degree with honors.
My professional affiliations include the Marion County Bar Association, where I served
as President from 2019 to 2020 and the Ohio State Bar Association. I have donated free
legal services to people in need and I’ve worked to support and encourage victims of
domestic violence.
