Question 1

List your judicial experience (courts and years)

I have worked in the past as a private mediator and arbitrator, but never as a Judge or Magistrate

Question 2

What non-judicial legal experience qualifies you to be a judge?

My experience is unique and extensive.  I have practiced law for more than thirty years and have done so at a very high level.  I have worked in large law firms, small law firms, and local government.  I have handled cases across the county and have represented clients in courtrooms in more than a dozen different states.  For the last twelve years, I have practiced exclusively in Lorain County and act as designated statutory counsel to our county's elected officials and the Trustees and Fiscal Officers in our eighteen Townships.  In the more than three decades I have been a practicing lawyer, I have seen numerous Judges who operate in a myriad of ways, many successfully, some less so.  I will take what I have learned from this experience and work every day to be a Judge worthy of our residents.

Question 3

Why are you running for this particular court seat?

I have dedicated my professional life to the practice of law, and have been blessed with a great deal of extraordinary and varied experiences.  As a member of the Prosecutor's office, I have experienced the satisfaction that comes with public service.  For many years as a practicing lawyer, I was content to subordinate my judgment to that of others, namely the Judges before whom I appeared, based on their greater experience.  That is no longer the case, and I am now ready for the immense responsibility that comes with this position.  I look forward to earning the opportunity to continue serving the citizens of our county as a Common Please Judge
