Question 2
What non-judicial legal experience qualifies you to be a judge?
As a Prosecutor, I have spent thousands of hours in the courtroom both trying my own cases and watching others advocate. Trial court experience is an asset for an Appellate Court Judge because you are reviewing cases at the trial level. I have advocated on behalf of the State and victims in Hamilton County and I have seen how difficult it is for victims to accept unfair decisions. I believe it is crucial for judges to simply follow the law and avoid making outcome-driven decisions.
