Question 2

What non-judicial legal experience qualifies you to be a judge?

As an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, I fought for the most vulnerable members of our society.  I represented Hamilton County Job and Family Services in custody cases involving abused and neglected children.  I took it upon myself to prosecute all animal abuse and neglect cases in Municipal Court.  In Common Pleas Court, I prosecuted the most serious crimes against victims including domestic violence, robberies, rapes, and murders.  Together, I have successfully prosecuted thousands of cases ranging from minor misdemeanors to the most serious felonies.

For my work as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, I received the PLEDGE (Promoting Lawyer Excellence & Driving Gender Equality) award from the Federal Bar Association. This award recognizes women in the legal profession who have demonstrated exceptional legal talent.

Currently, I am an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in the Civil Division of the Prosecutor’s Office.  I am involved with representing the County’s elected officials as well as various County boards and departments.  I draft and negotiate contracts for Hamilton County and ensure public procurement law is followed, all while protecting the County’s resources and taxpayers’ money.
