Question 1
List your judicial experience (courts and years)
Judge, Ohio Court of Appeals, 11th District - 7/1/21 to present; Administrative Judge of the Court - 1/1/23 to present; Presiding Judge of the Court - 2023
Question 2
What non-judicial legal experience qualifies you to be a judge?
Over 40 years of practicing law in the fields of complex litigation and Antitrust law
Named in the peer-reviewed book "The Best Lawyers in America" and named an "Ohio SuperLawyer"
More than 9 years as a State Senator, during which I was Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, the Criminal Justice Committee and the Ways and Means Committee, all of which heightened my understanding of statutory and constitutional construction and its limitations, and the application of State Judicial Rules in all forms and phases of litigation. It also exposed me to a wide range of issues Ohioans face, and try to address, and the humanity inherent in that effort.
Question 3
Why are you running for this particular court seat?
To assure that liberty and justice are fairly and impartially rendered "For All" in Ohio, thereby establishing, maintaining and enhancing the people's confidence in our system of government (particularly our judiciary).
