Question 2
What non-judicial legal experience qualifies you to be a judge?
I have vast expereince in several areas of the law. From criminal jury trials to appeals, to divorces and child custody. Being in various courts with various Judge's has allowed me to experience first hand what policies and procedures work and which ones don't.
My direct contact with clients over the past 20 years, has allowed me to possess a deep understanding of the legal system and its practical implications on clients. I know the challenges that families are experiencing and what needs changed to make their time in court as least stressful as possible.
Question 3
Why are you running for this particular court seat?
Becuase major changes to policies and procedures are long over-do. Changes would free up court time to allow for timely decisions, limit the amount of times that clients miss work or school, reduce costs and make the court more accessible. Below is a starter list of the changes that need made:
Expand Court Hours: Open the Court at night and on Saturdays to increase Court time and allow flexibility for persons who work during the day.
Expedite Cases: When a person claims they are being denied court ordered visitation and when circumstances logically dictate that time is of the essence.
Timely Justice: Ensure prompt and efficient resolutions of every case with: Clear, Decisive Rulings: by being Committed to delivering well-considered decisions without unnecessary delays.
Respect for Time: Valuing the time of all parties involved and minimizing wasted court hours by…Streamlining Court Processes: via Implementing procedures to reduce delays and enhance courtroom efficiency. Such as conduct pre-trials and review hearings by phone or video.
Effective Time Management: Implement best practices to keep cases moving forward swiftly. Address the backlog of cases and expedite case handling.
Working Harder for YOU: Taking personal responsibility for more cases and working 40 hours a week and more.
