Question 3
Why are you running for this particular court seat?
My entire legal career has been in Shelby in different capacities since 1999. I am currently Judge of the Shelby Municipal Court and served as the former Magistrate and Acting Judge. Presently, I am also a partner at Benham, Ream & Studer Co., L.P.A.
Over my past six years as Judge, I have successfully obtained four (4) grants on the Court’s behalf for separate projects being case management updates, metal detector, camera system and laptops. I allowed easier public access by obtaining an online docket system for the Court. And recently, achieved successful recertification of our drug court, to allow our participants advanced assistance with their treatment needs. My first six years as Shelby Municipal Court Judge have been a success, and I look forward to many more years together building our Court and our Community.
I am dedicated to keeping our community SAFE for your family and mine. I have enjoyed my position as Shelby Municipal Court Judge, and I am dedicated to rendering firm but fair decisions. I will continue to treat every individual with dignity and respect.
