Question 1

List your judicial experience (courts and years)

none

Question 2

What non-judicial legal experience qualifies you to be a judge?

For twenty years the primary focus of my legal career has been in the Hardin County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Courts. I have represented juveniles and families in all manner of cases that are heard by these Courts including, custody and visitation; abuse, neglect, and dependency; child support; dissolutions; as well as misdemeanors and felonies among others.

I am certified by the Ohio Supreme Court to act as a Guardian ad Litem to give voice to children in custody and abuse cases. I am also certified by the Ohio Supreme Court to act as defense counsel for indigent juveniles in misdemeanor and felony cases.

I was part of the team that created the Hardin County Juvenile Treatment Court and continue to act as the defense counsel for the juvenile participants.

Question 3

Why are you running for this particular court seat?

I began working in the Hardin County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Courts because it is my belief that the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Courts have the most impact on the community. The people who appear before these Courts are at a pivotal point in their lives and are in need of competent, capable, and caring counsel to help them navigate through these cases. I have always wanted to make a positive impact on my community through both my personal life as well as my professional life. Working in these Courts have given me the opportunity to do so. By being elected as Judge for the Domestic Relations Court I will be able to continue to make this positive impact through all of the cases that would come before me, not just the ones where I represented a party.
