Question 3
Why are you running for this particular court seat?
I am running this particular court seat for multiple reasons. First off, our courts are in need of change. One solution to improving our Justice System is to find better alternatives to sending people to jail. As a judge, I have always worked with individuals to ensure that punishment is consistent with the crime they have committed. In this process, especially when it is drug related, I attempt to find solutions for the offender that avoid unnecessary time in jail. Having them attend addiction services, wellness counseling, and other rehabilitative services are just some of the solutions that I use to avoid jailing individuals. Secondly, serving on the bench is a huge honor and one that I hope to continue. As a judge, I rule with complete fairness and consistency with the law. Our judges matter, especially here in Hamilton County. I am proud of the work I have been able to accomplish so far, and I am looking to continue this after being re-elected this November.
