Question 1

List your judicial experience (courts and years)

1991-1995 Hamilton County Court of Domestic Relations

1995-2007 Hamilton County Common Pleas General Division

2007-2015 First District Court of Appeals

2015-2021 Hamilton County Common Pleas General Division

Question 2

What non-judicial legal experience qualifies you to be a judge?

My 11 years as an assistant prosecutor taught me the practicality of how to run a good courtroom and how justice is to be administered. The oath taken as a prosecutor parallels that of a judge in that fairness is a priority to all. Further, our system of justice only works if the rule of law is maintained and enacted.

Working in a courtroom daily, relating to all different sorts of people, doing one's best to show all that justice is the goal of our court system are all things that help me be properly qualified to be a judge.

Question 3

Why are you running for this particular court seat?

First and foremost, being a Common Pleas Court General Division Judge was the best job I have ever had. It has nothing to do with the power or prestige of being a judge, but has all to do with being able to help those people who come in front of you and to help provide for the safety and well-being of all the citizens of Hamilton County.

Judges at the Common Pleas level can make a big difference regarding what kind of community we all live in.

I know how to run a good, efficient courtroom.

I know how to follow the law and and the oath I take as a judge.

I know how to treat all who enter my courtroom with dignity and respect.

I know how to be fair and properly give justice.

I want to be a Common Pleas Judge for all the above reasons.
