Question 1

List your judicial experience (courts and years)

As a first time candidate, I do not have judicial experience. However, I have been a Guardian ad Litem for over 28 years providing years of service to families in crisis, giving recommendations to the court for children and families.

Question 2

What non-judicial legal experience qualifies you to be a judge?

Out of law school, I served in AmeriCorps in Kansas City, Missouri, representing victims of domestic violence for protection orders and divorces. I have previously served on a race relations task force and have worked closely with the ACLU. When I moved back to Cincinnati, I worked for the Public Defender's office representing children of abuse, neglect and dependency as a Guardian ad Litem. For the last 28 years, I have maintained an active private practice focusing on Domestic Relations, mediation and GAL work.

Question 3

Why are you running for this particular court seat?

I have focused my career and practice on family law and know that I am qualified and can make a difference behind the bench. I have been entrenched with the Court of Domestic Relations and the laws under which is operates. I have been mediating, negotiating and litigating family law cases in Hamilton County for over 25 years. Everyone cares about families and everyone cares about the safety of children, but not everyone knows the ins and outs of family law. Family Court touches every aspect of your life. Experience behind the bench is imperative for the positive restructuring of families in Hamilton County.
