Question 1
List your judicial experience (courts and years)
Judge,Hamilton County Common Pleas Court 2008-present
Question 2
What non-judicial legal experience qualifies you to be a judge?
Over my career as an attorney I tried well over 200 cases as a prosecuting attorney, criminal defense attorney and civil attorney trying workers compensation and personal injury cases. I have tried most of these cases in the Common Pleas Court where I am currently sitting as Judge. I understand all sides of the cases that come before me because I have been there. My trial experence has made me exceptionally qualified to serve as judge and to try cases with fairness and experience in a timely manner for all. It has enabled me to provide equal access and justice to all.
Question 3
Why are you running for this particular court seat?
I am running to keep my seat as Judge on the Common Pleas Court. I truly love my job and do my best to treat every person who comes before me fairly. I adminster justice with accountabilty, transparency and openness. I really feel that I do make a difference in the lives of the people who appear before me. I am proud of the Mental Health Court that I started keeping those with mental illness out of jail and into treatment. I'd like to continue and expand this Specialty Court. And I'd like to expand my Judge for a Day Program where I invite local students to come and sit on the bench with me to see and learn about the judical system. I feel privileged to have been elected to serve the people of Hamilton County and hope to continue to serve them.
