Abbreviated Candidate AnswersI have been an elected official for 27 years. 19 of those have been in my Judicial capacity. I have heard approximately 20,000 felony cases and close to 25,000 civil cases. I have not had any criminal cases remanded back to my court to redo. I have had 7 civil cases come back to redo. I have had no hung juries, no disciplinary complaints nor have I ever had to defend myself in any lawsuits.

What non-judicial legal experience qualifies you to be a judge?
For the past 19 years I have been a judge. Prior to that being a single mother of four gives me a broader perspective and compassion for individuals who appear in my court.
Abbreviated Candidate AnswersI was a single mom of four when I went to college and law school. Being a mother with two boys and two girls allowed me to understand the nature of children up through adults. It gives me compassion and understanding.

Why are you running for this particular court seat?
I am running for re-election. I am proud of the work we do in my court and want to continue my public service.
