Question 2
What non-judicial legal experience qualifies you to be a judge?
I have spent 3 decades working on cases filed in state and federal courts in Ohio and Texas and in three US Circuit Courts of Appeals and the US Supreme Court representing and counseling over 3000 clients. I have written and read tens of thousands of pages of legal briefings and cases and reviewed judicial errors and demanded their correction in my arguments to the Courts. I know what it takes to be a fair and impartial judge and when someone is not doing the job they signed up to do. I have seen injustice that begs for my work making correction and victims that need my protection. I know from working in big city and small village counties around Ohio including Medina how to run a court room efficiently and administer justice even handedly. Prior to becoming a lawyer I was an Infantry Captain in the Marine Corps, a pilot, and prior to that as a college student a steel worker. I get and understand hard work and sacrifice. I also have a curious mind. I want to know why things are broke and solve the problem of fixing them. My background suits me well for the job of being a judge.

Question 3
Why are you running for this particular court seat?
I am not a professional politician. I am running for judge because I believe I can do the job better than anyone in my position, and that Medina is a growing County and needs to consider new ideas, new courtroom technology, and have a new judge dedicated to the cause of equal justice with a sense of fresh perspective. In the coming years Medina County will be challenged by an increased population of new residents and there will be complicated legal problems that accompany it that have to be confronted and solved in a world with ever changing ideas about what matters in the community and what is fair to the tax payers. I want to protect the community and enforce the law, set a high standard for judicial competence, and help people solve their legal problems and protect victims from injustice. Being a lawyer has been a calling for me my entire life and I have sworn an oath on my life to uphold the Constitution and the laws over 10 times as a lawyer and military officer and I take it very seriously. Being a judge likewise will not just be a job but a kind of a mission. I am not afraid of long hours and late nights the job may require. I am looking forward to working with the legal community as a judge.
