What non-judicial legal experience qualifies you to be a judge?
I served as an assistant public defender for 10 years before taking the bench, and was in private practice as a trial attorney for over 15 years. I represented clients in all stages of litigation throughout Northwest Ohio on felony matters ranging from rape, felonious assault, and aggravated drug trafficking to probation violations and traffic offenses.
I have extensive research and writing experience, having provided appellate representation to clients in over 60 direct appeals covering areas of the law, including medical malpractice, personal injury, family law, administrative law, and criminal defense.
I was ready to take the bench from day one when I was appointed to this position in 2021, and have applied this courtroom experience over the past year and a half as I have presided over a docket that routinely consists of 220-250 pending matter on any given month.

Why are you running for this particular court seat?
It has been an honor and privilege to serve Lucas County for the past year and a half as a judge in the Common Pleas Court, General Division and this fall I am running to retain that position for the balance of the unexpired term.
