What non-judicial legal experience qualifies you to be a judge?

My diverse experience as an attorney has prepared me to be an appellate judge. As an assistant prosecuting attorney and civil litigation attorney, I gained experience and knowledge in many areas of the law. As a Judicial Attorney at the Ohio Supreme Court, I learned how to analyze complex, novel legal issues. This position also allowed me to learn how an appellate court operates and what the job of an appellate judge entails. I have also worked as an Attorney Rules Analyst at the Ohio General Assembly's Joint Committee on Agency Rule Review (JCARR), which is responsible for reviewing rules from over 100 state agencies.

Why are you running for this particular court seat?

I am blessed to come from a family that instilled in me a strong work ethic and that taught me to care for others and for my community. I am running for the Sixth District because I believe that we need judges that will apply laws as they are written and that will not make decisions based on their own personal beliefs. I intend to uphold the rule of law and protect the rights of all individuals.
