Question 1
List your judicial experience (courts and years)
None
Question 2
What non-judicial legal experience qualifies you to be a judge?
I am a career attorney, not a politician. I have practiced law for the past 13.5 years, seeking justice for my Ohio neighbors. During this time, I have represented the people of Franklin County in personal injury, family law, criminal defense, estates and trusts, and bankruptcy cases. Since 2009, I have focused my practice exclusively on assisting families, individuals and small businesses to obtain financial freedom. This work has put me in touch with members of my community from all socio-economic backgrounds. My practice gives me a lens into the lives of Franklin County and beyond. I have a broad perspective of not only the law, both Ohio and Federal, civil and criminal law, but also a broad perspective of the lives of those who come into court to enforce those laws or defend their rights under those laws. My clients and cases involve blue-collar workers, executives, self-employed, unemployed, retired, disabled, elderly, and the like. I craft solutions for each unique situation for my clients that comport with the law and seek to provide relief to their legal issues. This perspective has given me not only particular legal experience, but also experience in human compassion and respect for the law. This experience not only qualifies me to be a judge for Ohio's 10th District Court of Appeals, but it ensures the residents of Franklin County will be well served by my presence on the bench in the Court of Appeals.

Question 3
Why are you running for this particular court seat?
I am honored to be a candidate for Ohio's 10th District Court of Appeals. Born in Cleveland, OH and raised in Parkersburg, WV, I am not a Franklin County local. However, greater Columbus has been my home now for the majority of my life and has felt like home since I arrived in 2004. I have watched the city and suburbs grow and change. I have also watched our judiciary grow and change. Just like some of the changes that we as citizens of Franklin County have seen in the City of Columbus, I have seen in the judiciary. As an officer of the court, I hope to take the bench to ensure that the judiciary, an independent branch of our state government, remains just that - independent. Fiercely independent, and not susceptible to political sway. To follow the law, as written and to ensure, at least for my part, that there is no such thing as "legislating from the bench." I seek the bench so that every voter and every citizen will receive just and fair results. This is important not only to Franklin County (the 10th District) but to justice everywhere.
