Question 1
List your judicial experience (courts and years)
While I have never served as a Judge, I have completed the Mayor's Court Magistrate training by Ohio Municipal League.
Question 2
What non-judicial legal experience qualifies you to be a judge?
I have over 25 years of professional experience. After graduating from college I worked for the federal government at Social Security Administration and Federal Deposit of Insurance Corporation. For the last 18 years have been an Attorney serving as a guardian ad litem, prosecutor, defense attorney and now in private practice for the past 13 years have given me the well-rounded perspective and expert knowledge of the courts and the law that a candidate for judge should have. Most importantly, I have a real heart for people and a vision for fairness, safety and justice in the Greater Cincinnati community. Municipal Court is often the first - and may be the only - contact people have with our judicial system. I believe in fairness and will uphold the law and review every case on its merits I am qualified, motivated, competent, and balanced. All qualities that I believe add up to an exceptional judicial candidate. I am known and respected in the community by law enforcement and citizens alike. If given the opportunity, I am ready to serve and will ensure the continuation of diversity, competence, fairness, and justice on the bench from the very first day I preside as judge. I will ensure fairness in setting bail for non- violent crimes is equitable for everyone and make sure probation propels people forward and not backward.
Question 3
Why are you running for this particular court seat?
I am running for this particular court seat because tied to this community, I have over 18 years of legal experience, and I will be fair and impartial. District 2 I think that every community should be represented through out government and on the bench. I am running for this seat because of the lack of diversity on Municipal Court and that I actually reside in district 2. I grew up in this district and now raising my family in this district. The voters deserve to be represented by someone from their own community. Experience I have over 18 years practicing law. I have served my community as a prosecutor and as a public defender. For the last 13 years I have worked for myself representing my community in criminal court, civil court, juvenile court, domestic relations court, probate court, Appeals Court and Ohio Supreme Court. Experience matters and I will be ready to serve day one. Fair and Impartial As a judge I will be fair and impartial and my decisions will be based on the law and every person regardless of their race, religion, sexual orientation, sex, ethnicity, or socio-economic status will be weighed the same. The goal is the pursuit of justice and ensure that everyone receives a fair trial.
